Even during my childhood in Switzerland I have always been fascinated by the fact that water from the Alps drains into the North Sea, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. I imagined it would be great to follow the rivers that carry the water and so far I cycled the River Rhein from Sea to Source in 2018 and the River Rhone in 2019 from Source to Sea. Now it's the turn of the Danube.
Although the source of the Danube is in the Black Forrest in Southern Germany, the source of the Inn which joins the Danube at Passau, is in the Engadine in Switzerland. So, water from Switzerland also flow into the Black Sea.
Here is the link to the Photos and Map. In the top right corner you can choose to either sort them so the newest show at the top or the bottom of of the page.
If you then click on map icon in the top right corner, a map comes up to show the route, accommodation, miles cycled and where the photos were taken.
This is the link to my GPS Tracker. It shows when I am leaving in the morning, hourly location updates and when I have arrived at my destination at the end of the day.
